The Pink Couch began in South Africa

The global cancer epidemic is huge.  Currently, 8.2 million people die from cancer worldwide every year.  This means that urgent action needs to be taken to raise awareness about the disease and to develop practical strategies to address the cancer epidemic.

More than ever, there is a need for global commitment to help drive the awareness around cancer.  We need to play our part in driving awareness campaigns that will sure that our communities are educated about cancer.  That will assist in minimising the deaths caused by the epidemic.

Programme Director, our Municipality joins Sinomusanothando Community Development in saying NO to cancer. Our organization aims to have a cancer-free society with much focus on previously disadvantaged and rural communities.

We will promote early detection of cancer which means that the patient would receive prompt medical attention and the number of lives lost through cancer would be reduced.
